My Time Well Spent

We've all sat through meetings that could have been an email, or waited on a client who's running late. A while back I started wondering: what am I actually earning while I sit here?

So I built a dashboard that answers that question, live. Open it during the slow parts of your day and watch your earnings tick up in real time.

While that is a fun reason to build an app, there was a more practical one: my work requires managing timesheets, invoices, payments, and expenses. For years I paid for a reasonably priced tool to handle it — until the subscription price had climbed more than 100% from where it started. That annoyed me enough to build my own.

My Time Well Spent handles the whole cycle in one place:

• Time and expenses on a calendar, built around your actual working schedule. Forget to log a few days? It fills in the scheduled days for you. Attach a receipt to an expense and it prints right on the invoice.

• Money set aside before you can spend it. Earmark a percentage of everything you earn toward taxes, the mortgage, savings — and watch each one fill automatically as you work.

• Invoicing straight from your tracked time — a clean, professional invoice in a few clicks, with payments recorded until each one reconciles to paid.

And it's not just for freelancers. On salary? The app works out your hourly equivalent from a paycheck, and the live earnings and set-asides work exactly the same. Contractors, consultants, small service businesses, or anyone who just wants to see where their income is going — you can use as much or as little of it as you need.

Because I built it out of frustration with subscription pricing, I kept the pricing honest: the free version is genuinely free — no account, no sign-up, no trial clock — and your data stays entirely on your own device. Cloud makes it reachable from any device and adds more dashboards and invoice templates for $12 a month.
